From 2 x 4's to Custom Wood Doors....
Maple Leaf has been manufacturing wood doors since 1985. Peter and Margaret Tarvudd as young entrepreneurs started their business in 1979 in a small Northern Ontario Community. Maple
Leaf began with their hands in many areas within the building industry; from supplying lumber and building supplies to local markets to designing, marketing, and shipping prefab homes throughout Ontario and Michigan. The gained experience within the housing industry and customer confidence led way for Maple Leaf to enter into the custom home market. The designs ranged from the typical 3 bedroom family home to the million dollar waterfront/water view homes along with higher end condominium developments.
While designing and building the high end custom homes, Peter and Margaret experienced the difficulty in sourcing out products to compliment the high end homes. "We wanted to go beyond the clients expectations and offer products that would be unique and create a lasting impression of their (the clients) dream home." That is when Maple Leaf and their team went back to the drawing board to create designs and engineer wood door systems, and specialty millwork along with numerous other specialty products to complete the interior and exterior of the home with products that are unique in design and of the highest quality. Maple Leaf has surpassed the industry standard for design and quality and is proud of this achievement as they continually work in developing product lines and supply exceptional products to customers who demand only the
